Katy Chib
Founder & Education Consultant at Beacon Educational Solutions
Partner, Charm City Speech
At Charm City Speech, we are proud to collaborate with Katy Chib for our advocacy cases. Katy is the founder of Beacon Educational Solutions and brings extensive experience and dedication to supporting families navigating the special education system.
Her passion for advocacy began in the classroom, starting as a substitute teacher in rural Michigan before moving on to work with students with disabilities in central and southern Los Angeles. Her role as an IEP chair and school administrator provided her with deep insight into best practices for writing and implementing effective IEPs. She also developed a strong understanding of the systems and processes through which school teams can sometimes deny services, making her an invaluable advocate for families seeking fair and appropriate educational support.
Katy holds an M.S. in Special Education and Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certification from the University of La Verne. She also has an Autism Authorization from UCLA and completed her School Leadership and Administration training at Johns Hopkins University.
Through our partnership, we work alongside Katy to provide families with comprehensive advocacy services, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.
