Comprehensive Speech and Advocacy Services

Charm City Speech was founded to provide a more inclusive and well-rounded approach to therapy, integrating both educational support and caregiver involvement. Many traditional therapy models focus solely on the individual, often leaving families and educators without adequate guidance. This practice was established to bridge that gap by offering consultative therapy, educational advocacy, and caregiver support to help individuals develop communication skills effectively.

Our Approach:

  • Individualized Support – Therapy sessions are designed to meet the specific needs of each client.

  • Caregiver and Educator Collaboration – Families and educators receive tools and strategies to reinforce communication beyond therapy sessions.

  • Advocacy and Education – Support is provided for navigating special education services, including IEP support and school collaboration.

  • Inclusive Communication – Various communication methods, including AAC, sign language, and alternative learning approaches, are supported.

Meet the Founder

Charm City Speech was founded with the belief that speech therapy should be more than just improving speech skills—it should support the whole person and those involved in their care. With experience in both clinical and school settings, Swinita recognized that many families struggle to access the right resources and navigate the special education system. She saw a need for a practice that not only provides direct therapy but also educates and empowers caregivers and educators to be active participants in the process. Her goal is to create an environment where individuals receive the support they need to communicate confidently in their everyday lives.
